Based in a safe and quiet Crescent in, Onverwaght, Gordon's Bay.

We are Committed to providing all Children with a Home away from Home providing an Environment that is safe structured, stimulating and comforting.

We provide Specialized care for Children who require additional support.

Freedom 2 Express Centre

Our Centre was Founded with one goal in mind: Providing our children with a safe environment to be creative, engage in sensory play and be free to express themselves and regulate as well as socially interact with peers.

Freedom to Express Care Centre is first and foremost a community who wants to help be the village you can depend on to help nurture and care for your loved ones .

Our team of Care givers and Facilitators are here to assist our children as they navigate behavior,sensory regulation,communication and social difficulties.

Meet Our Staff

Elana Newman Principal of Freedom2Express Centre

The inspiration to start the centre was because of my Son Danny who was Born in 2014 and who is Non Speaking Boy on the autism spectrum. As Parents we have been experiencing difficulties with finding suitable school placement and due to this often our ability to work full time was interrupted.

Danny Has high support needs and this drove me to gain as much insight and training as possible(degree in psychology plus Neurodiversity center Facilitator training Els For Autism Teacher training . In order to create an environment that is conducive to learning and offers safety and structure while also being regulating and calming so that our children can thrive

Sensory Intergration

We believe that children are born eager to learn and encourage our children to explore within their environment. Therefore, we have incorporated sensory integration into our daily routine.

We pride ourselves in our flexible sensory regulating, play based approach.

The Freedom 2 Express Centre Daily program was approved by an Occupational Therapist.

ELDA Curriculum

Freedom2 Express Centre is a Early Childhood Development Centre that is Registered with the Western Cape Department of Education.
ELDA( Early Learning Development Areas Curriculum) is implemented, as directed by the National Curriculum Framework.

Alternative Communication

At Freedom 2 Express Centre we accept all forms of communication as valid.

We use Visual Aids.

Sign language

We offer Spelling 2 Communicate

as an Alternative Communication Method.

These methods Augments (encourages) speech development in our learners who experiences speech difficulties.

Daily Program

This program accepts children with a wide variety of support needs. Day care times are from 08:00 till 13:00 Monday to Friday. Our team members are skilled, patient and encouraging. The special atmosphere at the centre helps our children achieve their potential every day. We have a structured daily routine that's predictable and limits anxiety.
